Recognize Text function can help you extract the text from a screenshot.
To start with, please download and install Gemoo Snap on your computer. Launch Gemoo Snap on your computer. A window will pop out to request sign in for Gemoo. Please enter your account and password to log in Gemoo Snap.
1. If you are a new user, you need to create an account at first. Click here.
2. If you forget your password, go to our Reset Password page type in the email address associated with your Gemoo account, and we’ll send you a link to reset your password.
Please click the button Recognize Text (OCR) to take a screenshot. And you can also tap the shortcut key Ctrl+Shift+W to take a screenshot. (The shortcut key for Mac is Command+Shift+W.)
After finishing the above operation, you can view the recognition result.
After you close the window, the image will be uploaded to Gemoo Cloud automatically. You can manage the images in Gemoo. The image will also be saved to your clipboard. You can paste it.
The languages that Gemoo Snap supports are English, Japanese, French, German, Spanish.
After taking a screenshot, you can click the button Edit to edit the text, but you cannot modify the content of the screenshot. You can also click the button Copy to copy them.
If the “Upload OCR Image” is enabled, after you complete the screenshot, Gemoo Snap will upload it to Gemoo Cloud automatically (It will show thumbnails in the lower right corner).
After uploading successfully, Gemoo Snap will show “Upload successfully” in the top left corner.
To view or manage the screenshot created, please link to Gemoo Image guide. And the images will also be synchronized to the Library Gemoo Cloud on the desktop. You can beautify the picture, edit the feedback, extract the text and export, etc..
If uploading failed, you can check the images to be uploaded. Please follow the instructions below.
1. Click the Gemoo Snap logo/Right-click Gemoo Snap in the taskbar.
2. Click the button like the picture in the upper tight corner.
3. Then you can choose “To be uploaded”, and you can click the button Upload to upload them to Gemoo Cloud again.
If you had turned off the “Upload OCR Image” option in advance, then the screenshots will be saved in your local file. Of course, you can also view them in the Gemoo Snap Local library.
